A letter from the founder · founding partners
I'm looking for 60 stores.
The first 20 get charlie free forever.
Hi — I'm Pasi. I'm Finnish, my company is in Tallinn, and I've spent years inside e-commerce email: the flows, the deliverability fights, the Klaviyo invoices that grow because of contacts you never even email.
Last year I noticed something: I had stopped opening dashboards. Whatever I wanted done, I asked my AI first. And every email tool I used was built for the world before that — dashboards for humans to click through, with an "AI feature" bolted on top.
So I built charlie: the first email platform built for your AI. You talk to Claude or ChatGPT; charlie gives it the hands — 450+ templates, your brand, your Shopify products, pop-ups, flows, campaigns. Your AI writes and designs, you approve in a preview, charlie delivers. On our own European infrastructure, with EU data residency, and no tracking pixels, no rewritten links — your emails look like a letter, not a campaign, which is exactly why they land in the inbox instead of the promotions tab. And you pay for contacts you actually email, not contacts you store.
charlie is new. It's live on Shopify, the infrastructure is running, and the first stores are sending — but I won't pretend it has a wall of five-star reviews yet. That's precisely why this deal exists.
The founding deal
Seats are claimed in order, one store each, counted honestly — when a tier is full, it's full.
What I ask in return
This is a trade, not a giveaway. Founding partners agree to:
- An honest review on the Shopify App Store after two weeks of real use — whatever you actually think.
- A short case study or testimonial, and permission to show your emails/pop-ups in our marketing.
- For the forever-free 20: a 15-minute feedback call once a month for the first three months. You'll shape what gets built.
Who this is not for
If your store isn't live yet, if email is nowhere on your roadmap, or if you're looking for a tool to blast purchased lists — charlie is the wrong choice, and I'd rather tell you now. It's built for real stores that want their list treated well: double opt-in, consent-native, European.
Claim a founding seat
It starts with a 20-minute call. Before it, I'll have already analyzed your store's brand and rebuilt one of your emails — you'll see your own store in charlie, not a canned demo. Keep the rebuild either way.

Questions you should ask
What happens when the free period ends?
Forever seats stay free — that's the point. The 12- and 6-month tiers move to standard pricing (plans), or you export your contacts and templates and leave. No lock-in, no exit fees, your data is yours.
I'm on Klaviyo. How painful is switching?
Not very — and you don't do it alone. We import your contacts, rebuild your core flows, and set up the pop-up together in the first session. Your Klaviyo account keeps running until you're confident; most partners run both briefly and then switch sending over.
Do I need a Claude or ChatGPT subscription?
charlie works from the AI you already use — Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini — through a standard connector (MCP). If you don't use any AI chat, charlie also has a normal dashboard, but the chat workflow is where it shines.
Where does my data live?
On European infrastructure with EU data residency, operated by Charlie OÜ (Tallinn, Estonia). No tracking pixels, no link rewriting, GDPR and ePrivacy by construction — double opt-in built in.
What if charlie doesn't make it?
A fair question for any young product. You can export everything — contacts, templates, HTML — at any time, and your emails are standard HTML that works in any tool. Your downside is bounded; that's deliberate.
Why should I trust a brand-new platform with deliverability?
Because it's the part we over-built: our own European sending fleet with managed sender reputation and automatic tiering, warmed properly, monitored daily. And because tracking-free emails simply get treated better by inbox providers — it's a structural advantage, not a promise.
